This tiny puppy may have been born without front legs but there’s no way that is holding her back.
Hope, the appropriately named two-legged Maltese puppy gets around by using a specially-designed device which features wheels from a model aeroplane.
The energetic pup uses her hind legs to boost her body forward onto her chest and operate the wheeled prosthetic limbs.

ReEnabled has consistently touted the computer gaming world as the birthplace of technologies which will drastically change the landscape of existence for the profoundly disabled. Yet more credence is given to this idea with the latest release of a mind-controlled computer game, using fairly commonly available parts and software.

Colleges are carefully watching the political wrangling concerning the ADA and what it means to already stretched budgets and resources. While most colleges already go above and beyond the ‘letter of the law’ in regards to accessibility, mandating certain levels of compliance can end up causing a poor return on investment with colleges spending more money to administrate the program than the actual output provided to benefit the intended recipients. Red tape is almost never good. Stay tuned.

A horse with a prosthetic leg? It’s not exactly news, but if you have a child who’s an amputee, perhaps sharing this story with them will be heartwarming. It certainly did wonders for the children who surrounded Molly through her journey as the world’s first (only?) horse amputee.

Ok, it has a long way to go, but what a boon this could be!
Fujitsu’s HOAP-3 robot is learning the basics of chess. Now the little fellow is trying his hand at cooking. It can chop, whisk, and grate its way through a simple omelette recipe - check out the video below for the results.
